You have new officers, now what?
How about an Inaugural Ball?
I have been asked to perform the following ceremony and feel honored and
privileged to do so. Call or email me and let me know the time and place.
If I cannot make it, here is the script to do it yourself.
“It is now my pleasure and privilege to install the new officers of the __________ Chapter Of USA Dance. Will the newly elected officers please come forward?”
Oath of Office
President
“-------------, you have been elected President of the ---------- Chapter. Your leadership will guide the chapter in pursuing USA Dance’s goals throughout the coming year. To you, all officers and committees will look for guidance. To you, all members pledge their support.
“Do you accept this responsibility and promise to fulfill, to the best of your ability, the duties of president? If so, answer, ‘yes’.”
Board Members and other Officers (can be in unison or individually)
“You have been elected as the Board (Officers) of the ---------- Chapter. It is your responsibility to serve in the duties of your respective offices in accordance to the bylaws.
“Do you accept this responsibility and promise to fulfill, to the best of your ability, the duties of your office? If so, answer, ‘yes’.”
Presiding Comments (address chapter members):
“In accordance with National Bylaws, these members have been elected and installed as the Executive Board of the --------- Chapter. During their term of office, they will lead you in your efforts to fulfill the mission of USA Dance.
In return, you chapter members are obligated to support them in their roles and to cooperate enthusiastically in all chapter activities. In doing so, you will increase effectiveness of your officers, yourselves, your chapter and the national association.”
“Do you as members pledge your full support to helping your new officers fulfill their official responsibilities? If so, answer, ‘yes.”
